Hey Girl!

I’m JeeJee, the dreamer behind Girl Be You, and I'm so thrilled you've found your way to our cozy corner of the internet.

As a little girl with big dreams, I'd throw backyard parties for the kids on the block, and lose myself in captivating books, I always felt a bit like an outsider among the girls I grew up with.

From those childhood days to navigating the realms of non-profit and corporate life, my journey has been a lesson in shedding others' expectations and embracing every facet of my authentic self.

Girl Be You was born in 2016, a haven for Black women and girls to blossom through meaningful conversations and boundless inspiration. From each blog, weekly newsletter, our book club, podcasts, YouTube channel you can join and grow in the Girl Be You Community

Here, amidst these digital walls, we're more than a community—we're a reminder. With Every Step, Girl Be You!

Join the journey of self-love, empowerment, and sisterhood. Your unique story is a vital thread in the beautiful tapestry we're weaving together. Can't wait to grow, inspire, and shine with you!
