I’m JeeJee, the dreamer behind Girl Be You, and I'm so thrilled you've found your way to our cozy corner of the internet.

As a little girl with big dreams, I'd throw backyard parties for the kids on the block, and lose myself in captivating books, I always felt a bit like an outsider among the girls I grew up with.

From those childhood days to navigating the realms of non-profit and corporate life, my journey has been a lesson in shedding others' expectations and embracing every facet of my authentic self.

And so, Girl Be You was born over five years ago in 2016, a haven for Black women and girls to blossom through meaningful conversations and boundless inspiration.

Here, amidst these digital walls, we're more than a community—we're a reminder. With Every Step, Girl Be You! Join us on this journey of self-love, empowerment, and sisterhood.
