Girl Do Ya’ Best!
Have you ever felt like you have been holding your breath waiting for something to happen? Waiting for that “thing” to happen to you? Have you just been begging and screaming for things to get better?
I must be honest that has been me a lot these last couple of weeks.
While it seems everyone is out here living with no fears I have been dealing with my layers that I didn’t realize I had. I had to be very honest with me, become still enough to let the tears fall, feel every piece of hurt and welcome it all.
These are very intimate and vulnerable moments we all must face in order to get to the other side of the page. It by no means is a good feeling there will be times when it just all sucks, it’s apart of the journey.
This past week I have been challenged to really ask tough questions to myself.
Why do you compare yourself to others?
What are you truly afraid of?
How long will you circle this same place?
It’s easy to say what others do and do not do?
It’s easy to point the finger at the flaws of those on the other side. The real test is when you can sit with you and ask what aren’t you doing? I listen to podcasts often, following certain people on social media who inspire me with their words and action. They help me to see the areas in which I need to focus or do better in my own life.
Myliek Teele shared a newsletter about how we aren’t giving our BEST. We rant and rave how life isn’t treating or giving us what we desire yet we are not doing our BEST!
I haven’t given my best. In my mind yes I have given 150% but in these actions of mine...that’s going to be a SOLID NO!
The other day I was looking through my journal of my past “TO DO LIST” I was most productive when I prepared for my week. When I took time to write out my goals for the week. Commitment and intentional actions yielded the results that shocked me.
Life has a way of throwing us curve balls getting us a bit off track. Some days we just don’t feel up to doing anything. When we feel that we have to take a moment to breathe, remind ourselves of who we are, what we came to accomplish the lives we are created to impact.
I don’t have it all together by any means, what I do know for sure is I am going to be committed to getting back to giving my BEST!
This week I challenge you to join me in preparing to give our very best.
Start each day with quiet time to focus yourself
