Hey, Girl! Welcome Back
Hey! Whew, is been a long time since I have written a blog. Life has truly being doing a number on ya girl. From so many changes in life, learning to readjustment to new norms while being heartbroken embracing it all has been more than a notion, that’s for sure. In the thick of things I am also realizing next year I will be closing the chapter of my 30’s and that my friend is enough to want to celebrate and ask how did it all happen so quickly?
All of these thoughts has put me in a place of making sure that I am doing the things that bring true joy and peace on my terms. I always mention the idea of learning to unlearn so much it truly is a constant thing in my life. The unlearning of living a life for others. Learning to unlearn living a rushed life has been top priority for me. Everyday it takes real practice to quiet my heart and mind to be in tune with what I need in each moment which has landed me right here back in front of my computer.
Writing was and has always been a place where I find joy, freedom and most of all peace. It has always been a where I give myself full permission to be me. No judgements, no hesitation just me being me! It has brought about a sense of direction for me.
As I ease my way back to my writing chair I wanted this to be a small reminder to get back to the things that bring peace and purpose. Life comes at us fast, really fast it’s important to make sure you stay steady. Find your footing even if it means slowing all the way down. Don’t let others make you feel you are behind or need to hurry to hit these life goals based on society’s standards. Choose not to subscribe to the gloom and doom of the world. Find you some peace and pockets of grace and joy. When given the option to shrink, shy away from what you were purposed to do in this life, DON’T! Take a time out, get some water, catch your breath and try it again.
Your life is a gift! We need it. Girl, Be You!
