Quarantine Lessons

Here we are STILL in the middle of a pandemic, wearing masks, trying not to listen to #45 just to keep your sanity. It seems like some people like me are super cautious during these times. Wiping down items that come from the grocery store and washing my hands all the time. After taking a scroll through social media I am convinced a whole lotta y'all done lost every stitch of your mind. Still at parties, smoking hookah, just all outside. I feel like we need a universal grandma to tell the entire world to, "Get somewhere and SIT DOWN!" At the rate some of y'all are going you wouldn't even listen to her.

But I digress, moving on. I have learned a few things during this time. No need in keeping these lessons to myself..Here we go!

1. I LOVE BEING IN THE HOUSE- Most have a problem with being in the house. Not me! I am completely embracing staying put during this time. I am saving money, reading more, getting back to my creative ventures even trying to write more. During this time I met the wonderful CEO of Fancy Homebody, Vanessa. She has an entire clothing line embracing being a Fancy Homebody. Check her out, support black business.

2. Nah I’ll Cook- After ordering the worse food from Uber Eats. I vowed that I would be cooking from here on out. It doesn’t matter to me how tired I am, after eating that dry burger and terrible cheese sticks...Nah I’ll cook. I am no chef but I prefer my meals. Meals cooked by Jee will be coming soon!

3. Grocery Shopping is my JAM! - You can beat your face with make-up but can you go grocery shopping though suga? Oh no its a skill honey, a complete strategy. You gotta shop the parameter of the store first then go down the aisle. Best day to go is Tuesday or Wednesday. It’s the best time to get everything fresh. BOOM!

4. Fresh Smells! - My nose don’t lie and I can sniff out STANK real quick. I need everything smelling fresh. From laundry to the kitchen to the bathroom. I will STOP and nothing to surround myself with good smells.

5. I am my Mama!  I never thought the day would come that I admit I act just like my mama. Oh, but it’s here. Just about everything my mother did from cleaning the house, cooking, fussing about the house being nasty is who I have become. No need in resisting it any longer, I am my Mama.

6. Smoothies are my Breakfast- At the beginning of this pandemic baby girl was out here eating everything!  I changed my routine, replaced my HUGE greasy breakfast for a smoothie. My girl SmoothieQueenBlog inspired me, check her out on the  Girl Be You spotlight page.

7. WFH Dreams!- For a long time I have been praying to work from home. The reasons we are all WFH it not pretty at all. I am taking the time to find joy even in these crazy time. I love working out in the house, grabbing my coffee, having my meetings, then when I need to jump right in that bed for a nice cozy nap!
