20 Year Lessons!
While on Facebook a few months back I saw there was a 20 year high school reunion planned. I wasn’t sure I really wanted to go to the event but thought, what the heck let’s see what these folks are up to, most importantly what does everyone look like 20 years later.
I Quit!
Every single morning crawling out of bed, putting on a silly uniform I told myself if I can work this job it would help fund my dream. What happens when the job drains you so much you have no motivation to look at your dream? Well, girl it is time to go in your prayer closet, listen and make a decision.
Girl, Create The Wave!
“We don’t ride the wave we create it, that’s how we made it to Beyonce’s playlist. I’m about to be on a first name basis with Beyonce!”
We live in a society where copy cat mentalities, bandwagon groupies and crowds seem to be the going thing now. It is a constant peering over at another person’s paper to see how we can do what they do the same way. Instead of us focusing on what we have inside to create what is needed for the world. Or in this case, how we can stop riding the wave, but Create Your Wave.
Baby, I’m Weak!
Growing up my super power was the ability to feel nothing and power through each situation like as a STRONG BLACK WOMAN! Never crying over the situations that hurt me, broke my heart, that crushed me. Never wanting to be or look weak I took it all like a champ! Reminding myself I am not weak, I can take this and much more. For years I lived trying to prove to myself and others that there was nothing that was too much for me to handle.
