We live in a society where copy cat mentalities, bandwagon groupies and crowds seem to be the going thing now. It is a constant peering over at another person’s paper to see how we can do what they do the same way. Instead of us focusing on what we have inside to create what is needed for the world. Or in this case, how we can stop riding the wave, but Create Your Wave.

After several years of what I thought would be a happy ending only turned out to be the worse and best experience of my life. Many encounters I experienced were proving that I never the choice only an option. I took the pain my heart and mind were enduring as a badge of honor. Hoping my ability to take so much would change me from being the option to the choice. Let me tell you it didn’t. At. All.

My black isn’t selecting me to be the token person to speak on your Diversity & Inclusion panel so that your next client will see that your company or team is woke enough not to be cancelled. If you haven’t figured it out by now ya’ girl is unapologetically Pro-BLACK! For those who may be unclear of what this means, I love being black and all of my blackness. No dislike of those who aren’t black.
